Blueberry Trout, founded in 1990, started as a clothing line featuring hand-painted sueded rayon. This luxurious fabric, known for its rich texture and stunning color absorption, made the vibrant paintings the focal point of each piece.
By 1993, these unique garments were showcased in high-end galleries across the United States. However, as the textile industry evolved, sueded rayon became increasingly expensive and difficult to source due to rising shipping costs and limited availability.

While sueded rayon is no longer being produced, I am making the most of my existing stock to craft unique, hand-painted designs on fabric, one yard at a time.
Each exclusive artwork is printed onto yardage and transformed into exquisite wearable pieces and captivating wall hangings.
The revitalized Blueberry Trout Textiles journey began in 2023 and is continuously evolving.
Butter Monkey Sweaters, established in 2001, were born of the realization that the materials I had been using to create my work weren’t sustainable. I was adding too much to the overtaxed planets burden.
When the carbon footprint outweighed my desire to continue creating couture, i did a 180. I discovered where to get ahold of last chance garments, before they were bundled up to go to a land fill or a tanker to India, and decided to remake them.
My love of luscious textiles drew me to the woven items and
